At least a 30 SPF is recommended. An average adult should apply 1 ounce of sunscreen per application (which is roughly a shot glass full) It is recommended that sunscreen be re-applied every 2 hours.
Think of the acronym "ABCDE".
"A" Stands for asymmetry. Half of a mole should look like the other half.
"B" stands for border. Moles should have a nice smooth border, without jagged edges.
"C" Stands for color. Moles should be a uniform color; brown, tan, etc. Black/gray should be monitored
"D" Stands for diameter. Moles greater then 6mm in diameter have a higher instance of being abnormal.
"E" evolution. If a mole at anytime evolves/ changes this can be a sign of abnormality.
